Brad Sayre in concert April 7 Guitarist/vocalist Brad Sayre will offer a free concert from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., Saturday, April 7, in Christmas Park. Sayre will perform material by Eric Clapton, Sting, Jeff Beck, Joe Satriani, Larry Carlton, The Beatles, The Eagles, Joe Cocker, and more. He also has a large catalog of original material. Sayre is a two-time winner of the “Best Guitarist Award" and winner of the “Multi-Instrumentalist of the Year Award” and multiple song writing and recording awards from the Songwriter’s Showcases of America.

Historic Walking Tours in the Canal Street Historic District The New Smyrna Museum of History is hosting weekly historic walking tours in the Canal Street Historic District through April 14. The one-hour tours are offered at 10:30 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 1 pm Saturdays and begin at the Museum, 120 Sams Avenue. The cost is $5 for museum members and $6 for non-members. New Smyrna Beach Food Festival April 19 The 4th annual New Smyrna Beach Food Festival will fill the beachside from 5-9 p.m., Thursday, April 19, along Flagler Avenue. Diners may sample Volusia County restaurants and enjoy live entertainment along the Avenue. Vying for the "Best in Show" trophy, participating restaurants will offer samples of their best dishes. Tastings will range from $3-$5. Additional food and drink specials will be offered at 14 sponsor locations along the Avenue. Flagler Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic from Pine Street to South Atlantic Avenue during the event. For more information, please call 386-428-1600.

Flagler Avenue Wine Walk April 28 Explore interesting wines as you walk Flagler Avenue from 1-6 p.m., Saturday, April 28. The cost is $20 and includes a wine passport and 20 tickets. Save the date: New Smyrna Beach’s 125th Anniversary Celebration June 8-10 The City of New Smyrna Beach will celebrate its past, present and future June 8-10 in the NSB Waterfront Loop with a 125th birthday celebration. Events include a time capsule dedication and reception, tours of local historical museums, period arts and crafts, a kid’s fishing tournament, family games and activities, a performance by the New Smyrna Beach High School Band, a four-mile run, a street dance on Canal Street, fireworks over the river, and a community-wide worship celebration.
