"Do the Loop!" - February 2012

Black Heritage Festival
The 21st annual Black Heritage Festival will from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Friday-Sunday, February 10-12, at Pettis Park, 314 North Duss St., New Smyrna Beach. Enjoy live music and entertainment, food, arts and crafts, hair weaving, face painting, cane grinding, syrup making, soap making, storytelling, and a school art display. Tours of the Black Heritage Museum and Heritage House also will be offered. For more information, please call 386-478-1934.

50th annual Art Fiesta
More than 300 artists and crafters will exhibit their work in scenic Old Fort Park from 9-5 p.m., February 25-26. The 50th annual Art Fiesta will fill the park and also line Sams Avenue and Julia and Canal streets. Live entertainment and food vendors also will be offered. This free event is sponsored by the New Smyrna Beach Parks and Recreation Department. For more information, please call the department at 386-424-2175.

Historic Walking Tours
The New Smyrna Museum of History is hosting weekly historic walking tours in the Canal Street Historic District through April 14. The one-hour tours are offered at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 1 p.m. on Saturdays. Tours begin at the museum, 120 Sams Avenue. The cost is $5 for museum members and $6 for non-members. "The Pajama Game"
The Little Theatre of New Smyrna Beach will stage the musical, "The Pajama Game," February 24- 26 and March 1- 4 and 8-11, at the theatre, 726 East 3rd Ave., New Smyrna Beach. All performances are at 8 p.m. except the Sunday shows, which are at 2 p.m. For more information, please call the theatre at 386-423-1246.

New Smyrna Beach Health Fair 2012
The 2nd annual New Smyrna Beach Health Fair will be from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Saturday, February 4, along Historic Canal Street, New Smyrna Beach. The fair is designed to promote healthy lifestyles by showcasing health-related services, including physical fitness, nutrition, healthy eating habits and medical testing.
