On the fourth Friday of each month, multiple venues in Sanford's downtown historic district host the Sanford Art Walk, showcasing local talent along with opportunities to meet visiting artists. The event is free and runs from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
Visit here

This month's participating venues are Gallery on First, Historic Sanford Welcome Center, Hyder Gallery Center for Fine Art, Jeanine Taylor Folk Art, and String Theory Creations. To extend your Art Walk, visit Little Fish Huge Pond with a late night reception until 10pm. All venues are within walking distance of one another and will be open late for patrons to stroll in the downtown district and enjoy art and refreshments.

In June, Sanford Art Walk will expand with the addition of two new venues:
Current Gallery and Tony's Deli.

Visit downtown Sanford for a pedestrian friendly shopping corridor enhanced by live music venues, upscale bars and award winning restaurants, all just blocks from the scenic RiverWalk promenade along the St. Johns River.

Gallery on First, at 211 E. 1st St., will be showcasing Mixed Up Media, new
work by Tom Abbott. His geometric 3-D works on canvas are colorful,
creative, and just plain fun. He has a knack for putting together different
material into striking patterns and shapes.
More Info.

Historic Sanford Welcome Center, at 230 E. 1st St., will offer a juried show
with multiple artists. The theme is the color red. Red is one of those
colors that grabs the eye and stirs the soul. Artwork will be an
interpretation of this evocative color. Mingle with the artists as you enjoy
live music and lots of art. This is the only monthly juried art show with
both a "Judges' Choice" award chosen by a panel of judges and a "People's
Choice" award chosen by the attendees of the show. Come and enjoy the work
of talented artists from all over Central Florida.
